Line Fire Update 9/29/24 — BREAKING NEW

Dear Camp Supporters:

A flare up in the Line Fire, near the Seven Oaks area has forced us to evacuate again. Staff are locking the buildings and closing windows and loading up their cars once again.

The Line Fire has already burned thousands of acres.   A heavy plume of smoke now hangs over the Seven Oaks/Santa Ana River basin near camp, and it is really smoky at de Benneville Pines.  It sounds like the winds are driving the flames away from camp, but the evacuation has been called in our area out of an abundance of caution.

You may find these news reports of interest as the flames move their way up the hill towards Big Bear Snow Summit.
