All hands on deck!

About This Camp
We have room for 20 energetic and generous, individuals, age 11 and older, who are willing to spend a little “sweat equity” at Camp. You’ll leave knowing your efforts are appreciated by the staff and will ensure that future campers have a safe and wonderful experience at Camp.

Weather can be variable, so dress in layers and work at your own speed. Wear enclosed shoes and old clothing.

Some projects we may work on include:

  • Fire clearance (raking, picking up downed branches)
  • Splitting firewood and stacking wood near the lodge
  • Repairing benches and picnic tables
  • Packing away patio and pool furniture
  • Cleaning light fixtures throughout camp
  • Erosion control issues
  •  Deep cleaning cabins

You don’t have to come for the whole time — If you need to leave early that’s OK. If you can stay the whole time, think of what we can accomplish together! Just let us know in the registration form if you plan to leave early. This information will help us plan tasks and meals.

Pricing

There is no charge for Volunteer Camp.  We appreciate you and are grateful for your support.  Camp will provide lodging delicious meals after working up an appetite from your labor of love.

Accommodations

Please indicate on your form your preferences and needs for a double bed room, bottom bunk, etc.

Arrivals and Checking In

The check-in process is informal on Friday from 3-6pm with dinner served at 6 pm. You may arrive earlier to start raking if you like.

HEALTH UPDATE: Please help us keep the camper community healthy by staying home if you feel unwell.  Camp no longer requires Covid testing prior to arrival to camp.  Camp will continue to offer masks for those who prefer using them and will provide hand sanitizer in the lodge.  Camp will maintain a plexiglass partition on the food line and will limit the number of self-serve food items in an effort to maintain a healthy and safe food service environment. Campers are free to dine outside at the picnic tables where they are close to nature.  Additionally, Camp provides single-use paper towels for hand drying and foamy hand soap in all of its restrooms.

Camp de Benneville Pines may sometimes need to make the difficult decision to cancel camp due to a variety of factors including but not limited to the following: severe weather conditions, road closures, Covid and other contagious outbreaks, camp volunteer and site staff shortages, and other emergencies. Should the camp have to cancel, refunds will be issued.
