Despite the fact that this map is from 9/14/20, it can give you a really good idea of where the fire is and how much area it is encompassing. Fire lines continue to hold both in Angelus Oaks and near camp. Let’s hope that the winds tonight keep driving the fire into the lower region

San Bernardino County Fire held a community meeting this afternoon with a status update on the El Dorado Fire which is threatening Angelus Oaks and our beloved camp. The El Dorado fire is moving slowing up the mountain towards Angelus Oaks. The fire is about 44% contained and firefighters are working extremely hard to prevent further spread to populated areas. Camp has been evacuated; however, key employees remain to keep an eye on things until the last critical moment of departure. Other employees are staying with friends and family right now, and Daisy Doodle is being cared for by lead cook Ed Bagdon in Mentone. She likes being with Ed, but sure hates the heat
